While Daddy Was Away!

While daddy was away, Robert and I did a few things. One of the things I did was start my second semester of classes here. They are quite challenging but interesting. Another new thing that has happen is that Robert started to walk. He wants to walk everywhere and all the time. It can get a little hard when he wants to walk when we are out. Here is Robert walking at Yogurt Land’s deck at American Village.

He loved being there, because there were some many lights for Christmas and the big Ferris wheel that is there. When we go back with daddy, we will take pictures of night time at American Village. Another thing that Robert got to do that night was go on this mechanical panda. It was really funny, because they had this big room for these two mechanical animals that go like 2miles per hour.

Robert went on with his friend Austin. The next day we went to the Tug of War that they had outside of our base.

Robert did not want anything to do with the rope. I do not know if he was scared or didn’t like the feel.

On the other hand, I had a lot of fun. I know that I am weak, but I put all my efforts into pulling that rope.

Robert and I had fun with our friends those few weeks without daddy, but now that he’s home we have to take him out and see more of Okinawa!

Halloween

Halloween could have been better this year, meaning weather wise. It was drizzling and not so nice out when it came time for trick or treating. Robert did get to dress up but not go out. This year was his second Halloween. This is him from last year when he came home from the hospital.

Robert was wearing preemie outfit, and it barely fit! This year was totally different! Here he is:

What a difference a year makes! He is now walking. Thankfully he's not running or climbing yet. It's coming very soon though.

Robert's Birthday Week!

We had plan to do a lot more than we did, but due to Rob's "work week" we couldn't. When I say "work week", I mean he was suppose to be off, but he ended up at work a lot. Oh well, at least we got out. We started the aquarium. I was little scaried to go, because people were getting the swine flu when they went up there. I guess the people there caught on because there was hand sanitizer everywhere. I carry it with me anyways. Well, the aquarium here has the 2nd largest tank in the world. It has two whale sharks and other huge underwater animals. Both Rob's enjoyed the different fish, sharks and other animals. The aquarium itself is nothing like the states, but the grounds outside of it is really pretty and has a lot to do.

We also went to the "zoo", if that's what you want to call it. Let's say you want to go to the Philly Zoo, you would take the whole day to go. Well with the Okinawa Zoo, you can go between breakfast and lunch. It is something to do and it's cheap.

Roberto and I got to feed baby elephants. He liked the turtles the best. Which is weird, because they really do not do anything. There were some rides that you can go on also. They are extra. This train 200 yen a piece, so 600 yen (so like $7 or little more). The train only goes around twice on this little track!

Robert drank his sippy the whole time and didn't really care. The other rides do not look any better.

The ride above these little Japanese kids were pushing each other, because it was not going fast enough. We spent like two hours at the zoo. It was perfect timing with a nap and lunch time. Some little boy was very tired by the end of the two hours.

1st Birthday!

I cannot believe a year as gone by! Our son is one, and there's not a trace of that little baby we brought home last year. Robert is amazing us everyday with everything he does, from the little to the small. Robert had a Yo Gabba Gabba 1st birthday.

If we lived in the states it would have been easier to get that theme, but since we live over here almost no one as a clue what Yo Gabba Gabba is. I had to order everything or with the help of Monica and Katie we made things. Robert's party was suppose to be outside, but due to the tropical storm we had it at our house.
Even his cake was Yo Gabba Gabba themed. The cake itself was the radio and the cupcakes were the different characters.

His 1st birthday party went well. We had our friends over, but it would have been perfect if our family was here too. This why I have created this blog, so our families can be part of our lives too. Thanks to our friends for making his party great!
